Karen Thomas

Karen Thomas has been living and working in York for over 12 years.

Her ‘Silver Shell Collection’ was inspired by natural forms seen and collected on long walks along the dramatic North East Coastline. The collection includes four ranges, the Spiral, Venus Urchin and Abalone. She makes this collection using solid sterling silver castings, made using moulds of actual shells.

Her chunky claw set ‘Pebble Collection’ celebrates the natural forms and colours of pebbles created millions of years ago deep within the Earths crust, shaped by the rolling waves of the North Sea and found along the dramatic North East Coastline. She makes this collection using sterling silver wire to fit each carefully selected, unique, individual pebble. The collection also includes pieces set with ‘Semi- Precious Pebbles’.

Each piece is lovingly made in her own workshop using the highest quality materials.
