Rachel Jayne Rogers

Rachel makes simple ceramic forms that remain true to the purity of porcelain. Each piece begins life as a model from which a plaster mould is made. Once this stage is complete slip is poured into the mould, creating replicas of the original. It is then hand finished and glazed before being fired 2 or 3 times. Each piece has its own history of process.
