Dorte Pape

Dorte was born and raised in Denmark and always had a keen interest in arts, crafts and design. As time passed she started to experiment using different mediums and techniques.
Later in life she moved to ireand and then onto Scotland where she now lives permanently, splitting her time between Glasgow and the East Neuk of Fife

Dorte began working with glass 10 years ago. Since then she has enjoyed developing skills by experimenting with designs and techniques. Forever learning about the endless possibilities of glass, favourite techniques include leaded stained glass, painted glass and in particular fused and slumped glass incorporating other materials such as metal.

Dorte works at the WASP factory in Glasgow, sharing her space with other like-minded and creative artists
