My work presents emotion-fuelled views of romantic, dreamlike transported landscapes which interpret nature in a poetic semi-abstract way, both atmospheric and expressive, exploring the effects of light and colour. I hope for the viewer to interpret my paintings through their own emotions and subconscious.

Working as a graphic artist helped me avoid a conventional fine art education. This I am so grateful for as I was able to retain the freedom, experimentation and personal expressiveness that comes from being self taught.

I teach art within the R.N.I.B. and am resident with Out Of The Blue studios based in Leith.
