Marie Hart

Since moving up to Perthshire from Glasgow, Marie's work has metamorphosised into its current vibrant and expressive form. Her work has developed from her love of colour and the spectacular and deeply spiritual nature of the Scottish scenery, which has had such an impact on so many.

Marie has had many influences over the years, both from her friends on the Glasgow art scene and from various movements in painting history. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, there is a strong impressionistic vein in her work, which may well be more from shared interests and aesthetic philosophy than an actual desire to be an impressionist. This work shows such power and honesty that it has drawn many to patronise Marie's copious successful exhibitions all over the country.
