Steve Fox

Steve Fox studied and worked for some years as a software engineer and later a project manager in aircraft electronics. Pottery was to be a part-time diversion from the daily business of industry and commerce but he was immediately hooked.

He spent twelve years accumulating skills and knowledge at evening classes and specialist weekends whilst gradually evolving his own style of expression, in both stoneware and raku.

In 1996 his work started appearing in galleries and exhibitions around the UK. He loves the atmosphere of the big cultural events like Potfest, aways being pleased to share knowledge with visitors.

His handbuilt structures are full of mysterious detail recalling centuries long gone, and his fiery glazes give another dimension to the gothic images.
