Glen F Craig
Born in Blairgowrie, Perthshire and studied at Dundee University Glen graduated in Architecture in 1975.
The spectrum of output from his expression is diverse but influenced by the simple beauty of nature. Major influences in Glen's art are the art nouveau period of the 1920's, organic growth and the beauty of the Scottish landscape and its built environment.
Working mainly in watercolour and pen and ink, Glen has also experimented with pastel and chalk. He strives to excel in original expression in his artistic endeavours and constantly rebels against his architectural discipline, seeking freedom from the formality of the straight line. Expressionism in pattern, form and colour is implicit.
