Jim Dewar

Scottish artist Jim Dewar has over twenty-eight years experience working as a professional artist. He has produced many landscape and seascape paintings plus a wealth of portraiture and caricatures.

Jim now works mostly in watercolour and on occassions acrylic, as being able to use the texture of the paint can often capture that elusive mood. In 2003 Jim joined the Original Art Group, which consists of six Tayside artists with the common goal of exhibiting and selling their work to a much wider audience. The variety of styles and media used by the members results in exhibitions that are full of contrast yet still in total harmony.

The success and popularity of Jim’s work is reflected in continued sales both in the UK and as far afield as Ireland, Spain, China, New Zealand and the USA.
