Andrea Cundell

Andrea Cundell has been a self-employed potter for over 15 years, since completing her HND course in Ceramics at Medway College of Design in Kent. She creates her own unique range of handmade ceramics in her workshop in York.

Andrea uses an electric Kiln, firing to a stoneware temperature of 1260c. In addition to creating her own ceramic designs, she also continues to experiment and produce recipes for her own glazes.

Her love of nature, a keen interest in design and a great acknowledgement of our sculptural and ceramic heritage have inspired a sense of pattern and texture that has become the hallmark of her own decorative work.

Andrea is also an enthusiastic teacher of Ceramics at the Mount School in York.
