Gordon Bruce

" Ever since I began painting, colour has been very important in my work although the contrast between light and darkness is what motivates me the most. I have always been interested in buildings and the lives people live within them.

I have been living between Scotland and Barcelona since I graduated from Robert Gordon University in 2001 in Aberdeen. I enjoy evening walks in the city of Barcelona and the buildings with their large windows have filled me with curiosity of what happens behind them.

I want to convey this fascination within my paintings. It is my goal that the viewers of my work will be as excited about the finished piece as I was to create it."

Gordon was born in 1979 and obtained his B.A. Degree in Fine art in 2001 from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen Scotland
