Riccardo Bergamini
Riccardo Bergamini was born in Rome on March 31st 1953.
His tendency to curiosity towards the world of the arts emerged during adolescence when, in addition to regularly attending scientific secondary school, he took courses on music at the conservatorie, he holds a degree in clarinet playing and acting at Alessandro Ferzens schools of drama.
The first employment finds him engaged as a music teacher, and as a co-founder of the Cultural Association Ademus, for which he composed inspirational passages in a post-dodecaphonic style. Riccardo also directs musical groups and collaborates with dance companies in composing music for ballets.
The search for the missing link/common denominator between music and image leads Riccardo to collaborate first, with several painters and later with the photographer Elisabetta Catalano.
His passion for photography became his main activity in 1989.
Eyewear of Benetton, Ballon, Bassetti, Emporio Armani and many others are some of the firms for which he has worked as a photographer.
Riccardo took pictures for the personal archive of the former supervisor for the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome.
Riccardo has also worked with many film producers.
His collection "Outrages" was displayed in Strasbourg at the Palace Of Council Of Europe in 2002.
Riccardo has had his work exhibited in many galleries throughout Italy including Rome and has his work shown internationally and now for the first time in Scotland.
