“Crazily tilted cottages in tumultuous Scottish landscapes” – so wrote an early critic. Jane, though Yorkshire born, has lived in, loved and painted Scotland in all it’s moods for nearly 25 years

Discouraged by anxious parents from an art career, later in life Jane was introduced to watercolour by Jean B. Martin, firstly at Forgan Art Centre and then subsequently an HNC in Fine Art at Dundee College.
From first exhibiting some 12 years ago, Jane now has a growing demand for her work and prefers to take part in mixed rather than solo exhibitions. She now has strong representation of her work in a number of galleries and is encouraged by a growing number of “collectors”.
Increasingly using acrylics, recent trends has been to challenging colour combinations and towards expressionism – or “beyond realism”
Jane lives, and has her studio in rural North East Fife
