"Using very wet paint on a hot day, I spilled colours across the canvas, letting them run together with minimal control from me. I wanted to a create a tension between strength and fragility – the delicate petals caught, but not damaged by the ice. Now, nothing will change. This is a cold trap, a permanent embrace".
