Joy & Peter Cole are independent designers and producers of innovative glass art and jewellery. They are developing their own style of individual and unusual designs, influenced by their love of natural forms, vibrant colours and using the natural beauty of light through glass. They use various types of glass and other materials – recycled where practicable – at a range of temperatures to keep the natural movement and texture of the glass.

Joia Glass comes from Joy’s nickname in her country of birth, Brazil.

It is the Portuguese word for jewel, and for Joy and Peter, it represents the glass are they enjoy making – colourful, light catching, many facetted and precious.
