Born in England in 1931 of a French mother and Anglo/Scots father. After the Army he studied drawing and painting at the Edinburgh College of Art. He has lived in Perthshire since 1962.

During the 1970`s Peter taught Photography at Edinburgh College of Art and has worked in various branches of this field since then. In addition to photographic work he has continued to produce semi-abstract paintings, mainly oil on board. He has held various solo shows including the Richard Demarco Gallery and the English Speaking Union. His paintings hang in collections in Canada, France, Germany, Denmark and the U.S.A.
