Ineke Voigt is a Dutch artist who can be found exhibiting throughout Holland

"After my 50 years I have started to work with paint. I have started with paint in water colours, but because I gladly work with strong colours, I have rapidly changed water painting for oil painting.

This especially becomes more important paint for me. I make the abstract work in acrylic resin with collages. I use substance, paper, rope, sand etc... Colours are for me determinative in a painting. A tale behind the paintings is not there, I am not this way philosophical. However, I find that a painting must be lived through but that has more with the layers of the painting, then with the tale there behind. My favourite colours are the warm colours. I make simply beautiful things, of which I hope that also others find them beautiful".

As Ineke work is inspired by colours and texture she doesn’t like to name her paintings just simply refers to her work by different numbers!

The painting is on box canvas and is apx 70cm x 70 cm
